Planning a Mobile Retreat for Your Group
Lightrider Ministries will conduct a mobile retreat for
your group
of 26 adults or 30 teenagers. We generally serve groups located within a five hour driving radius
of Upland, Indiana.- Taking you anywhere in North America.
If they have pavement... we'll use it!
Our staff works closely with your group leader to tailor
the experience to meet the needs and desires of your group.
Lightrider conducts the mobile retreat, including driving, guiding
tours, devotions, etc.
Our desire is to help initiate and or renew the Faith in Christ
of individuals, congregations, and families by:

Getting people away from pressures and problems of work and family and the
lethargy of their comfort zones. |

Surrounding them with a warm, friendly environment where
most of the daily, distracting decisions regarding food,
entertainment, where to go, etc., are relieved from them.

|
Mixing them comfortably with new faces and fresh insights.
|
|
Worshipping God through song, prayer, sharing and reflecting
on His word together. |
|
Joining people in an open forum on Faith. |
|
Demonstrating life in general with Jesus Christ. |
|
Devotional times become catalysts that help stimulate
one-on-one chats among the group during the many private
moments afforded as they travel, hike, eat out, shop, swim,
serve, etc. |

Social barriers fall and people find themselves on the
same level as they; sleep in the comfortable albeit close
quarters of a forty-foot motor coach, change clothes in
the crowded, but friendly, confines of a McDonald's restroom
and wake up together in one's typical first-thing-in-the
morning mess. |
Cost of Retreats
As a not-for-profit organization, Lightrider
is able to offer your mobile retreat at approximately
one half of the cost of providing it. The balance
has been underwritten
by Lightrider's financial supporters from around the country.
When to Sign Up
Lightrider's calendar fills up fast. Planning 12 to 18 months in advance is a good idea for lengthy
retreats. However, check with the office because cancellations
do occur.

Living together aboard the Lightrider is
most comfortable when everyone packs

Food
meals will be
eaten at a restaurants agreeable to your group.
Length of Retreats
Your Lightrider experience can range from
2 or 3 days to 2 or 3 weeks.
Staff
Generally, four Christians serve on each
retreat - three
drivers and an assistant.
Insurance
As a not-for-profit corporation, Lightrider
Ministries is properly insured under the laws of the State of
Indiana.
Contributions
Contributions to Lightrider Ministries are tax
deductible and greatly appreciated.
